Caesar thrusting his head defiantly against McCullough's gun, daring him to shoot Caesar down in cold blood.This causes a lot of agony for Caesar as McCullough essentially tries to break him, but Caesar never gives up on his demand, and in the end McCullough is the one who relents. Caesar demanding McCullough give the apes food and water.It's an awesome Call-Back to Caesar's Big 'NO!', and reminds us why the apes follow him loyally. This one act gets all the apes back on his side after they blamed him for abandoning them on their trip to their new home, during which they got captured by McCullough's soldiers. Caesar shouting at Red to leave another ape alone while Red is punishing him, drawing the attention of everyone.
